In the legal world, reputation and history have great meaning. Attorneys rely on their reputations to attract new clients just as much as consumers use this reputation to find an attorney they can count on. As the world grows more attuned to mobile technology, people are becoming less keen on doing research themselves. So, leading law firm McCarter & English has announced that it will be using Vizibility’s online identity management platform as a way to give consumers access to attorney information.
Vizibility is an identity and search platform that has been called “Google for businesses.” Vizibility added the first “SearchMe” buttons to Google, which allowed professionals to find information on companies and colleagues. McCarter & English believes that the platform would be useful as a way to give consumers and their counterparts in the world of law access to attorney biographies and other such information. The law firm has been creating business card that includes a QR code for its associates using the Vizibility service.
When the code is scanned by a smart phone, consumers will be taken to a mobile website where they can find more information on a particular attorney. These Vizibility business cards will also allow people to share contact information seamlessly by scanning the associated QR code. The Vizibility platform has several measures in place to avoid mistaken identity and bring only the most relevant information to those that scan the codes it has made.
