The two versions of the smartphone have become the latest flagship phones from the tech giant.

Despite the massive number of leaks that occurred before the unveiling of Google Pixel, it still managed to create a stir. There will be two versions of the device, the base model and the XL version which is slightly larger.

The standard model will have a standard 5-inch display with a 441 ppi density.

The Google Pixel XL will be slightly bigger. It will have a 5.5 inch display and a resolution of 534 ppi. The two devices are both encased within Gorilla Glass 4. The back of the smartphones are a combination of metal and glass. Right in the center is a fingerprint reader. There is also an antenna band along its base, where there is also the new Google “G” logo. The rear of the smartphone does not have an “unsightly camera bump.”

Still, Google was proud of the camera built into the Google Pixel and the XL model.

According to Google at its unveiling event, “This isn’t only the best smartphone camera we’ve ever made. It’s the best smartphone camera ever made.” The rear camera is 12.3 megapixels and has an f/2.0 lens. The front camera is 8.0 megapixels.

Pixel smartphone users will also be able to benefit from an unlimited amount of free storage through Google Photos. This will allow device users to store their photos in their original resolutions. That said, they will also be able to use a Quick Switch Adapter, which is a piece of hardware designed to make it simpler to transfer their older Android device files. In fact, it is even meant to work from older iPhones, too.

The Google Pixel smartphones are powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor. They have 4 GB of RAM. The battery is 2770 mAh, which isn’t bad in terms of capacity. Moreover it is supposed to be able to achieve a massive charge of up to 7 hours in a span of only 15 minutes. The XL version of the Google smartphone has a notably larger battery capacity at 3,450 mAh. Each of the devices has a 13 a 14 hour rating per charge, respectively.
