FBI reminds consumers to take care when scanning QR codes

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has cautioned device users about common criminal tactics. The FBI has issued a warning to device users, cautioning that cybercriminals can tamper with QR codes in order to swipe a scanner’s information. The directors of six U.S. intelligence agencies are cautioning consumers against this device brand. The heads of six different intelligence agencies, including the FBI, CIA and NSA, as well as the director of national intelligence, have warned Americans not to buy ZTE or Huawei smartphones. These two Chinese brands are direct rivals to Apple and the intelligence directors have expressed their distrust of the companies. FBI may be able to crack iPhone mobile security without Apple’s help

The much-anticipated court hearing was brought to an abrupt halt as it may no longer be necessary. The FBI recently revealed that it may have come up with a method of breaking through the mobile security of an iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino terror attack shooters. This caused the Federal Bureau of Investigation to suddenly vacate the court hearing to force Apple to unlock the smartphone.
