MediSwipe Inc. has announced that in the months of September and October 2011, it has processed almost two million dollars in client transactions for medical and wellness merchants in the health services sector.

The company, a subsidiary wholly owned by Commerce Inc., provides financial products and merchant payment solutions for the medical healthcare industry. It currently leads the industry as an enabler and provider of turnkey e-commerce solutions, which includes solutions for mobile payments.

According to CEO Michael Friedman from MediSwipe Inc., the company is maintaining its position as “the most reliable partner for the medicinal and alternative health sector throughout California, Colorado and legal jurisdictions for payment solutions and prepaid health cards.”

He added that with the continued broadening of the business model into vertical markets within the high risk payment and healthcare sectors, they intend to take an aggressive strategy toward obtaining further growth in their current share of the market and of their brand inside their industry, by way of payment technologies and banking partners that they have just come to acquire.

Friedman then spoke of the 800 Commerce subsidiary S-1 filing, and explained that their original intention for this September 30th filing was pushed back by their financial statements’ announcement and required adjustments as a result of the VestaDigital acquisition proposal, as well as their SparkBase partnership. They had received advice that recommended that they file their 10Q and S-1 concurrently, which ended on September 30, and was then filed in a timely way along with the registration for S-1.
