25-year-old Aitana is a successful model from Barcelona and is entirely digital using AI.
The Clueless, an influencer agency from Barcelona, Spain, created a model using artificial intelligence, and she has proven to be highly successful, earning as much as $11,000 per month.
The creators of the model, Aitana, refer to her as the first Spanish AI model.
The agency decided to create the artificial intelligence influencer model because they found that real-life human influencers and models were too difficult to work with and were unreliable overall.
“We did it so that we could make a better living and not be dependent on other people who have egos, who have manias, or who just want to make a lot of money by posing,” explained the agency’s founder Rubén Cruz in a recent media interview.
Co-founder of The Clueless, Diana Núñez separately explained that they were primarily shocked at the “skyrocketing costs” of such influencers.
“That got us thinking, ‘What if we just create our own influencer?’ And, well, the rest is history—we unintentionally created a monster. A beautiful one, though,” said Núñez. “It took us a few months of experimenting and trying out different looks until we finally hit the jackpot with the Aitana you see today.”
The artificial intelligence influencer has about 122,000 Instagram followers.
On Instagram, the account refers to Aitana as a digital creator. One of her feed’s posts shows a breakfast bowl in real life, an image added by her creators to provide her with the impression of having a real life.
“Even after the media revealed she was an AI creation, many followers still expressed their love for her. The key lies in crafting a relatable personality so that her followers feel a genuine connection,” shared Núñez.
The Clueless has found the use of artificial intelligence to create their own influencer has been quite lucrative. While Aitana’s average income is about $3,300 per month, she has earned as much as $10,900 in a single month. The majority of that income is from social media ads. That said, the AI influencer has signed a brand ambassador deal for a sports supplement company.
