The fuel marketer signed the deal with the network to broaden transaction options. San Antonio, Texas-based Valero has announced a new partnership with P97 networks to provide gas station mobile payments options to its customers. This will make it possible for customers to pay for their purchases using their smartphones. Customers will be able to use the gas station mobile payments options to complete secure transactions for purchasing fuel, car washes, or even certain purchases made in-store. Mobile payments through NFC coming to German Shell stations

Near field communication capabilities will soon give German drivers a new way to pay for gas. Starting in 2014, the Shell stations operating in Germany will be introducing a new form of mobile payments that will allow smartphone users to make contactless purchases of their gas and other products. The announcement was just made that this new service will be offered as a part of a partnership with Visa.
