A private investigator is cautioning consumers that they’re sharing their smartphone numbers too often. Mcommerce companies continually threatened by fraud

Although mobile commerce offers a tremendous opportunity for revenue generation, these threats are cutting into the bottom line. According to the results of a recent study that was conducted by Javelin Strategy & Research and LexisNexis, retailers are still hopeful to be able to generate revenue over the mcommerce channel, but they are struggling with fraud threats that run risks of $283 for every $100 that is actually lost to fraud over mobile. Smaller banks and credit unions face broadening mobile banking gap

The most recent report issued by Javelin Strategy & Research has identified a broadening gap between the adoption rates of mobile banking at smaller banks and credit unions, and that experienced by much larger banks and financial institutions. The data from the research firm showed that among regional and community banks, only 21 percent of consumers are adopting mobile banking. Similarly, only 15 percent of consumers are using mobile banking at credit unions. Comparatively, 37 percent of the customers of very large financial institutions are adopting the behavior.
