The association has put a spotlight on education, noting that ignorance is the most challenging barrier to overcome when it comes to new technologies. Mobile commerce is expected to be a full-fledged financial revolution and the association believes that the more consumers know about it the better their experience will be.
The Smart Card Alliance will be launching a new website that will be home to an exhaustive amount of information concerning NFC technology and how it can be used as both a financial and non-financial tool. The website is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The association’s other project will be aimed more at businesses hoping to incorporate the technology into their operations. The project is born from the partnership between the association and the NFC Forum, the world’s leading group concerning NFC technology and its uses.
Together, the team has announced the NFC Solutions Summit 2012 Conference, which will be held in May of next year. The event will serve as a showcase for the latest developments in the fields of marketing and commerce, with a distinctly NFC-based focus.
