Mobile Marketing messages Campaign

Get an edge over your competition with these mobile marketing tips

Mobile marketing is a fairly new addition to business marketing strategies, and its popularity is growing exponentially. One of the things that makes this type of marketing so successful is that it places messages directly on customers’ mobile devices via text, email, app, or some other method. You send, they click. There is no doubt that mobile marketing works. These tips will help you up your game even more, making your marketing far more effective.

Identify sub-segments of your audience.

Once you have defined your audience, look for sub-segments to more effectively reach your customers. For instance, Experian Marketing has defined 5 mom segments, each is distinct with unique needs and attributes. You would market to each of these types of moms differently because each one has a different set of values. It is the same with other segments of your audience. Look deeper.

Provide value.

While mobile marketing is still fairly new, we have become so immersed in everything mobile that we are desensitized to the dozens of messages that bombard us each day. So if your customers are getting all those messages, does that mean yours are getting lost in the shuffle? How can you make your messages stand out? In one word, value. Your customers are looking for value so give it to them. Create messages that are relevant to your customers and deliver content that provides value to them. That will make you shine.

Create a rewards program.

Rewards or loyalty programs keep your customers engaged and connected to your brand. These programs boost your growth and your reputation. Plus, they aren’t as expensive as you might think. Add awards and deals that are relevant to your customers and watch your sales soar. The key is knowing what your audience responds to and speaking to that by giving them a reward that is relevant to them.

Create a mobile app.Getting more for your Mobile Marketing Dollar

Most businesses are creating mobile apps for their customers. The intent is to build the brand while making the customer’s life just a little easier. There are any number of things a business app can do, it depends on the business and the customer. For instance, you can allow your customers to load coupons to their phones through your app, or you can run your customer reward program through it. The possibilities are truly endless, you just need to make sure it is tailored to your customer’s needs and that it accurately reflects the company’s brand.

Meet your customers where they are.

No matter how much mobile marketing has grown, it is still closely connected to social media. From 2015 to 2016, total mobile engagement on social saw an incredible 55% increase. Social is where your customers are and if you want to reach them, you will go there too. While SMS is great for reaching customers who are already on your list or are current, social media draws people in who are not yet customers. It also gives you the opportunity to interact with your customers and hear what they have to say. It is still one of the best ways to connect.

Get a mobile ready website.

Regardless of the Google algorithms that favor mobile friendly sites in the search engine rankings, many businesses still do not have a website that is mobile friendly – and that does not sit well with customers. With more people going online via their smartphones and other devices, it is vital that you have a website that works well in that environment. If you aren’t sure whether or not your website is mobile friendly, you can use Google’s website test to find out.
