The Denny’s restaurant chain has just announced the launch of its first mobile app which features the company’s mobile rewards program and puts its limited time menu and offers in the spotlight for customers.
When the challenges and check-ins are completed at the locations of the chain, they can earn rewards.
The campaign and application are a primary element to the 50 State Challenge initiative, which gives the chance to one lucky person to win several loyalty-based prizes, such as a lifetime of free Grand Slams.
The Denny’s app is available at Google Play and at the Apple App Store, for free download.
According to the Denny’s chief marketing officer, Frances Allen, “Our first mobile app allows us to build on Denny’s social community with a new mobile presence that is both compelling and rewarding to our guests.” Allen went on to explain that as the app users unlock the unique challenges, badges and rewards at Denny’s, “we are creating an additional touchpoint where they can engage with the brand that is similar to the open environment found in Denny’s diners.”

He stated that the company believes that the application and the mobile rewards program will be successful in creating better interactions with the younger generation of patrons at the restaurant, where the mobile and social experience play such a central role in everyday life.
For customers to be able to take part in the 50 State Challenge, they simply need to download the free app and then start to check-in at any of the locations of the restaurant across the United States. Though the restaurant does have franchises in several other countries, this particular promotion is going on exclusively in the U.S.
The intention is to continue the challenge for a full year on the app. Checking in provides the users with the ability to unlock a virtual state souvenir as well as a number of different badges. Other mobile rewards program benefits include redeemable in-store offers and coupons. The more locations a user checks in, the more milestone prizes can be accumulated over time.
