Aprimo has announced that they will be releasing a new Aprimo Marketing Studio On Demand (AMS On Demand) Mobile Marketing module that will give digital marketers the capability to include tightly integrated SMS (text messaging) to their campaigns.
The cloud-based integrated software company is a global leader in its market, and this new offering will allow its clients to initiate an SMS campaign within a few direct steps – from creation to launching and from tracking and measuring – using the most recent update to the platform for AMS On Demand.
This new module to the platform gives the customers the ability to leverage the same campaign management, dialogue, and segmentation functions that are already being used through AMS On Demand, such as micro-sites and email.
This module update to the platform is a significant one, as the use of SMS marketing has notably increased among consumers worldwide. Research results recently issued by the International Telecommunications Union has indicated that between the years 2007 and 2010, there was a tripling of the total number of SMS messages that were sent around the world, having been 1.8 billion per year and having risen to 6.1 billion per year. Today, text messages are sent at a rate of approximately 200,000 per second.
