The 4ORT has incorporated a panted algorithm into static QR codes.
The 4ORT QR code features a globally patented algorithm that can tell if unauthorized access is being attempted through tailgating. The algorithm, which is integrated into a static quick response code, makes certain that a mobile user’s unique identities are securely stored within the code. This security measure makes duplication by fraudsters all but impossible.
The user’s digital identity cannot be copied and is securely hidden within the code.
Cape Town-based 4ORT uses its homegrown IP (Intellectual Property) to ensure the watertight identification of individual mobile users that can be used for applications that are dependent on the secure encryption of personal identity within controlled environments. Such applications include access control, loyalty programs, digital ticketing, document transfers, and so on.
“Malfunctioning cards, broken tokens and lost keys are a thing of the past as 4ORT’s dynamic QR codes mean mobile users requiring access to their offices, parking, homes and more need simply point their mobile handsets at dedicated 4ORT scanners,” says 4ORT CEO Andrew Georgeou, reports Tech Financials.
According to Georgeou, the mobile user’s digital identity is hidden securely within the 4ORT QR code and is protected from fraudsters. This is because the digital ID within the code cannot be copied, photographed or videoed to fraudulently gain access.
What’s more, to use the 4ORT solution, no Wi-Fi or cellular network coverage is needed. The codes can be displayed on mobile handsets in flight mode and still be read by 4ORT scanners.
Users of the 4ORT QR code must be present with their mobile devices to unlock the 4ORT ID.
The highly secure technology has been designed so that no data can be transferred and no transaction can take place without the user’s prior knowledge and approval, or both. Mobile users must be present with their smartphones to unlock the 4ORT ID. This ID can be unlocked either by biometrics (e.g. fingerprint or facial recognition) or Secure PIN or both.
Moreover, all transaction are processed on the vendor’s side and are not reliant on the security of the mobile device, allowing the 4ORT QR code to provide users with real peace of mind.
