It’s no shock that the new iPhone 4S has left the store shelves empty, as all new releases of Apple devices always leave a “sold out” sign in stores both brick-and-mortar and online, but what people really want to know is what the actual customers think of their new devices.

So far, the news for the iPhone 4S has been quite good. The reviews have been positive and users seem happy. The device is much faster than the previous version, with an improved camera and notably better software. It has been available in seven countries as of last Friday and Apple customers have been celebrating ever since.

While the users of iPhone 4 are still very happy with their devices, those who now have the 4S are saying that the new version improves upon the previous high standard in a number of important ways.

The camera was the most notable upgrade in the iPhone 4, now featuring an 8-megapixel that essentially makes the idea of a separate digital camera obsolete.

Furthermore, the new software allows the camera to operate extremely quickly and smoothly. It requires milliseconds to reach a ready status and is able to perform at a rate that is comparable to some of the more expensive camera models, with features such as depth of field and stop-action. Moreover, pictures look brighter because the device features brand new optics that permit the entry of a larger amount of light. Even candlelight can be enough.

It wasn’t only the still camera that received the upgrade, though. The video camera was also brought up to the 1080p high-def level from its previous 720p HD in the older version.

That said, beyond the visual, many customers are also extremely excited about the voice assistant feature on their iPhones which may sound gimmicky, but is actually being determined to be highly useful.
