Technology news mobile surveyA study performed by BuyVia has revealed what people want from their device features.

App and website, BuyVia, has just released the results of their latest survey, making considerable technology news headlines as the top features desired by consumers have now been identified.

The survey identified three smartphone features that stood out above the rest as being highly desirable.

This is very important technology news not only to the manufacturers of the devices – among whom competition has never been more fierce – but also for companies who are (or intend to become) involved in mobile commerce. The better consumers are understood in terms of the mobile experience that they want, the more capable companies will be of meeting those expectations.

The reason that this is such surprising technology news is that the results actually weren’t that revolutionary.

The technology news release from the survey results showed that the three most desired features in upcoming smartphone purchases are: a faster device processor, a bigger screen, and a more affordable price. Among the participants in the survey, most were iPhone users (46 percent) who had no intentions of changing to an Android based device. That said, the majority of the 42 percent of the respondents who were Android smartphone users had no intentions to switch to an iOS based device.

According to the BuyVia co-founder and CEO, Norman Fong, “There’s a large amount of speculation about Apple losing its market dominance in the Smartphone market and there’s no doubt that Apple’s feeling the pressure.” This was shared in a technology news statement that was released with regards to the findings of his company’s study.

He added to his statement by saying that the BuyVia survey has determined that the iPhone is still a desired device, but that the popularity of that smartphone is starting to fade. Consumers are starting to be more discriminating about the prices that they pay and the features that they expect, no matter what platform they are using.

Fong’s technology news statement concluded that “Whether it’s a cheaper iPhone, or potential products like the rumored iWatch, no position is safe and everyone has to continue to step up their game.”
