The National Tourism Board of Scotland is looking to change the way visitors to the country get their information by updating all tourist materials with augmented reality. The Board has thrown its support behind Welcome to Scotland, a website put together by a conglomerate of attractions throughout the country. MattsonMaps, a developer of online applications aimed at destination marketing organizations, has announced that they latest program has entered the beta phase of testing. The program, called TravelTools, helps companies manage their online content, such as maps, calendar and newsletters.
