Roger Carr, CEO of Rich Interactives, has announced its latest tool for QR code deployment, Sticky-Mobile, which offers an easy and practical way to use the barcodes across marketing touch points without the need for any previous programming knowledge.

Sticky-Mobile was designed using the Rich Interactives proprietary technology called r-Glue. It is available for free to developers and webmasters, and enhances QR code use by giving consumers an easy way to store, bookmark, or share the digital content to which the code is linked, such as a video, map, or website, so that it can be viewed immediately or saved to be viewed later on at the user’s convenience.

Carr explained that a previous challenge to QR code-using marketers was where they should place the HTML tag when they didn’t have a web specialist’s assistance. He added that “Sticky-Mobile, equipped with r-Glue technology, makes it easier for anyone who wants to add QR codes to their website, to interact with consumers on the go.”

Gartner Research data has shown that in 2011 the total advertising revenue for mobile worldwide is expected to reach $3.3 billion. This significant shift in marketing has come along with the development in all new ways to engage with the consumer. Though QR codes have seen significant increases in popularity, there has been an ongoing need for better QR code creation, implementation, and tracking accuracy.

According to Carr, the growth of the use of QR codes has provided businesses with the ability to get a great deal more out of mobile advertising, and the goal of Sticky-Mobile is to help those companies to achieve an improved degree of customer engagement and return on investment.
