January 24th, 2012 | Add a Comment
Popular QR code generator and scanner, Paperlinks, which is known for its business friendliness, has just announced that it is now available on the Android Market.
Android-based smartphone users can now download the app for free in order to be able to use a number of different kinds of QR code services. Paperlinks also provides businesses with Android NFC support.
By using this new app, users of Android mobile devices will be able to rapidly and effectively create their own QR codes or scan those that have already been created. They also provide users with a complete history of the barcodes that they have created as well as those that they have scanned. Moreover, it allows them the ability to share information through Android’s NFC capabilities.
Among the primary features of the app is that it provides QR code customization options and allows companies to add designs such as their logos to their codes. Other features include:
• Quick movement – the ability to go from using the app to viewing content very quickly
• History of codes – for organization of all previous creations and scans
• Instant Scan – with no clicking, tapping, or touching required. Instead, the app is opened, and that is all that is required to be done.
• Complete integration with QR codes that were generated through its use or through the Paperlinks.com website.
At the moment, this app is compatible only with Android devices that have NFC capabilities. Though this doesn’t represent a large part of the market yet, it is a growing segment of the smartphone marketplace.
