Mobile payments smartphone application unveiled by PDS

Mobile payments platform

Payment Data Systems Inc. has now launched its dynamic iRemotePay app at the App Store.

Payment Data Systems Inc. (PDS) is an integrated electronic and mobile payments solutions provider, which has just announced its most recent release, that consists of the iRemotePay application, which is now available to Apple device users at the App Store.

The application was developed specifically for iPhone users but is also compatible with iPads and iPod Touch.

When the app is combined with a compatible card reader device through the Apple mobile device, it gives the merchant the ability to process credit cards quickly and security. That said, it can also process e-checks (ACH mobile payments) and cash over Wi-Fi and cellular networks from virtually any location. Moreover, it provides the ability to view the various transactions even while away from the office.

This converts the Apple device into a fully functional mobile payments point of sale terminal.

The app has been designed to be used organizations of all sizes, including home repair contractor services, churches, and other freelancers or businesses that are in need of the ability to receive mobile payments in a wireless environment. This application was also created in a way that makes it fully compatible with the market strategy at PDS, which places its focus on large enterprises that have a sizeable customer base. These companies require remote transaction processing apps at special events or on a full time basis.

There are three primary ways in which PDS feels iRemotePay is different from other mobile payments services:Mobile payments

• It is geared toward sellers who require one or several devices but that must have one settlement account in common.
• It can not only accept mobile payments from all forms of credit card, but it also allows for e-check entry and processing, as well as cash.
• It is a processor independent solution, meaning that the app can function as a gateway to the existing processor of the merchant, regardless of whether or not that happens to be PDS.

According to PDS, the app allows for mobile payments transactions that are fully encrypted from end to end, allowing for a perfectly secure purchasing experience.
