Mobile Marketer gives Hipcricket top service provider title

Mobile Marketer, one of the top news organizations in mobile media, marketing, and commerce, has honored Hipcricket – a company from Augme Technologies, Inc., by naming it the 2011 “Mobile Service Provider of the Year.”

Every year, the Mobile Marketer publication hands out its annual awards to organizations that have shown “outstanding work that moved the mobile needle for brands and marketers.”

Also recognized by the publication this year, was a client of Hipcricket, Macy’s. It was named the “Mobile Marketer of the Year” for 2011.

Mobile Marketer applauded Hipcricket for being able to provide its significant number of customers with measurable value. Its Le Club Perrier and the Macy’s Backstage Pass received special recognition. It was given high praise for being able to do all of this by way of channels that crossed multiple channels through all mobile media.

The publication said that its top award winner had “continued push to integrate mobile in all channels for clients is worthy of emulation.” Also noted was the acquisition of Hipcricket by Augme Technologies, and the marketing, branding, and public relations, which were considered to be especially effective.

According to Hipcricket’s chief operating officer, Eric Harber, having received the title from Mobile Marketer is a great honor, and he feels that the company in its entirety has been acknowledged by this; including the client engagement, technology, operations, and creative teams.

Harber added that the entire company is maintaining its efforts to lead the way with mobile marketing in fresh, exciting, and scalable ways as it continues to provide measurable outcomes and exceptional customer service to their clients.
