LevelUp announces new Times Square free pizza promotion for smartphone users on New Year’s Eve

Mobile payment company, LevelUp, has announced the launch of its first brand partner on a national level, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen (Villa FIK), and it will be kicking off this partnership by offering free pizza to smartphone users at Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

The promotion will allow smartphone owners to use their devices to receive free food worth up to $10, including pizza, Stromboli, pasta, salads, and other options available at Villa FIK. This will demonstrate the mobile payment technique to the device users by providing them with the purchase for free.

According to the Villa Enterprises vice president of operations, Peter Jurta, the company is very excited to be the first brand to take part in this type of solution for mobile payments that can be used by anyone with a smartphone. He added that when they asked themselves about the best way to help consumers to ring in the new year, they answer was that “Free food for trying something new and awesome at America’s hottest spot for New Year’s celebration!”

LevelUp’s mobile payment app is for both Android and iPhone, as well as Windows Phones, BlackBerry, and other operating systems. This means that virtually any smartphone will allow users to take advantage of the free food promotion.

All users need to do is download the app – LevelUp recommends doing this in advance so that users don’t have to think about it at the last minute – and link a debit or credit card to it so that payments can be made using the phone. The user is then assigned a unique LevelUp code which can be used at the Villa FIK cash register.

If they head to the Times Square location on New Year’s Eve, then they will automatically receive $10 in free product from the restaurant. Furthermore, even more deals will be created over time.
