QR Code Campaign

Yesterday marked the culmination of Great Britain’s F1 Grand Prix. The famed racing event drew in crowds of thousands from all over the world. Spectators at the event were met with QR codes placed in strategic places throughout the track. While the codes are no strangers to raceways, these were not being used to solicit special deals from retailers. Instead, they were used to garner real-time feedback from the crowd regarding the event,

The codes were provided by Feedback Ferret, a company specializing in gathering feedback and analyzing the results. Silverstone Circuits, the organizers of the Grand Prix, employed the company to engage spectators and measure their response to the even so that they may improve upon future events. The company elected to use QR codes as their performance is easily tracked. The codes also presented a much better alternative to social networks, which have proven in the past to be frustrating to manage.

It has only been a day since the event ended and Silverstone Circuits has already benefitted from the knowledge obtained through the customer surveys. Company officials have said that there will be improvements made to raceways that will help motorsports enthusiasts enjoy these events more than in the past. There will also be changes made to allow for merchants to have better access to the event so as to promote business therein.

The codes have proven useful to the world of motorsports yet again, and Silverstone is likely to make use of them in future events.
