World mobile barcode system leader and ScanLife creator, Scanbuy Inc., has announced a partnership with Triad Retail Media – a leader in the marketplace for the creation, management and operation of digital media programs for retailers – in order to provide the retail clients of the latter company with the mobile QR code services of Scanlife.

Retailers are now finding that it’s impossible to ignore the number of consumers who are now carrying mobile phones and that the QR code scanning activity skyrocketed in 2011. Therefore, they are starting to find new ways of using those barcodes in order to engage consumers and provide them with an enhanced shopping experience to convert them into buyers.

According to the CEO of Triad Retail Media, Greg Murtagh, smartphones have become tremendous resource for obtaining information in real time about a product. He went on to say that those devices are a significant consumer influencer “along the path to purchase, so it’s important that brands incorporate a mobile strategy that utilizes innovative tools like QR codes.”

Murtagh went on to say that working with Scanbuy also provides his company with the ability to offer its own clients with a QR code platform that has been proven to provide a shopping experience that is both intelligent and dynamic. This will help to capture the attention of the consumer and improve brand loyalty.

Scanbuy CEO and president, Mike Wehrs also pointed out that some of last year’s mobile QR code campaigns that were the most active were created by retail and consumer packaged goods companies. This, according to Wehrs, makes the partnership a very powerful fit.
